Q: When is personal property sold subject to seller's confirmation?
When an item has a reserve on it and the reserve price is not reached, then the seller or auctioneer has the right to accept or reject the highest bid.
Q: What dos it mean to buy personal property in "where is as is" condition?
Buyers purchase items with no guarantees regarding the condition. Buyers shall rely entirely on their own information, judgment, and their personal inspection of the personal property.
Q: What is a 10% buyers premium?
Simply stated, if the bid is $10.00 (example only), the total contract price will be $11.00. If you are unsure of this concept, realize that if you want to purchase an item for right under $10.00 then bid $9.00 and the total contractual price will be a total of $9.90, and you will have saved ten cents.

Q: Do you have information for a first time auction buyer?
- The first time participant arrives at the auction location and registers with the cashier and receives a buyer’s number.
- The registration is completed with a proper I.D., which is a Driver’s License with entire mailing address and telephone number.
- The buyer is now ready to preview the personal property being offered at auction.
- The auctioneer begins the auction by greeting the buyers, quoting the terms, introducing the auction help and thanking the sellers. Then the ring man selects the first item up for bid, and the bid calling begins. If at anytime a buyer has a question, one of the ring people will be happy to answer or assist in the bidding.
- The auctioneer states, “SOLD”, and give the buyer’s number and selling price to our clerk to record on the selling sheet. These sheets are periodically given to the cashier so that a running total for each buyer can be kept.
- The buyer is responsible for any item purchased from the time the bid caller states “SOLD”.
- When a buyer has completed all purchases, the buyer will go to the cashier in order to settle the bill. The cashier will ask for the last item purchased and go over the tickets to verify that all purchases are included in the payment.
- It is a good idea for the buyer to view the receipts closely to verify that he/she has accounted for all items purchased. Cash or good checks with proper I.D. are accepted for payment, and itemized receipts are given to each buyer.
